Oviedo Cultural Center & Park Buildings In Production

Powell Design Group was selected to design a new Amphitheater, Multipurpose Building, and three small park amenity buildings including a Coffee Shop, Boat Rental Building, and Restroom Facility at the Oviedo Center Park in Oviedo, Florida. Nestled next to a picturesque lake, the intent was to provide structures that would support and enhance the Oviedo communities’ various indoor/outdoor cultural events and functions.

The main building anchors the North end of the park with lake access, and is organized around an indoor Multipurpose Building and the outdoor Amphitheater Stage. The Multipurpose Building will be a striking high-ceilinged space with exposed structure and clearstory windows, also with a wonderful view of the lake. The Building provides a backdrop/background to the Amphitheater Stage, which is open on the West to a sloped lawn perfect for a large audience. Included in these main spaces are Restrooms, Performer Greenrooms, a Catering Kitchen, and a Support Offices.
